The Reflection Seat is a sculptural public bench located along the coastal pathway at Mersey Bluff in Devonport. Designed by artist Simon Ancher in 2007, the seat was commissioned by Zonta International Devonport as a space to cherish the memories of loved ones. It combines thoughtful public art with a practical and serene resting place, encouraging quiet reflection while overlooking the Bass Strait.
The seat commemorates 100 years of Zonta International (1919–2019), an organisation dedicated to empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. It also serves as a local tribute to community and memory, placed where the natural beauty of the ocean meets the cultural fabric of Devonport.
